Options And Accessories
Bolt down anchor kit(s) (For securing your shed or aviary to a concrete slab or pre-cast concrete paving blocks)
The bolt down anchor kit(s) enable a secure & recommended fixing to a concrete slab or pre-cast concrete paving blocks.
Each of the fixing anchors in the pack are made up of 3 components. (1) A 50 x 45mm galvanised “L” shaped steel angle bracket, (2) A 10mm nut & bolt to secure the “L” shaped bracket to the wall of the shed, and (3) A 10 x 50mm dyna bolt to fix the “L” shaped bracket to the concrete slab.
The manufacturer recommends the use of these anchor kits (in their required & shed size specific quantities), to achieve the stated compliance wind rating of this shed or aviary. The number of kits needed will be shown in the “Options & Accessories” selection area, when you complete your order.
The Absco Bolt Down Anchor Kit:
Skylight
Each Shed Skylight Sheet Dimensions Are: 1545mm L x 330mm W
The skylight is an opaque poly-carbonate / fibreglass moulded sheet that shares he same ribbed profile as the Absco steel roof sheet. It allows for diffused natural light to enter the shed. It does not replace a roof sheet, but rather one of the existing roof sheets is moved sideways to overlap the adjacent roof sheet, an extra two ribs in. This creates the void into which the skylight is fitted.
Skylights cannot be fitted in the Spacesaver & Ezi-Slider range of sheds. (Skillion – flat sloping roof models).
There is a maximum of one (1) skylight that can be fitted into each assembled 3m wide roof panel/section. Note: a 3x3m shed is made up of two (2) 3m W x approx. 1.55m L panels joined by the centre ridge beam – to form the complete roof. In this example, the maximum number allowed is two (2) skylights – one in each assembled 3m wide roof panel/section.
Sliding Perspex window(s)
Each Sliding Perspex Window Dimensions Are: 700mm W x 220mm H
Absco windows are made up of two clear perspex panels or panes, that slide along a moulded plastic frame. It allows access for natural light & ventilation. To fit, a single wall sheet requires a single horizontal cut. This is done to create the void into which the window is fitted. The trimming of the wall sheet is done at the time of assembly & installation of the shed, by the purchaser. Its is not accommodated by the manufacturer.
The window sits in the space on top of a cut down wall sheet. The window fits immediately beneath where the wall meets the roof. It is recommended that the window be fitted in the wall panels of the shed that have a roof section that overhangs where the wall & roof meet. They should not be fitted in wall panel sections where the junction of the wall & roof, is flush (no-overhang). This is to minimise the possibility of water/weather penetrating the shed by running down the face of the wall above the window and through the window frame.
Modular Timber Flooring Kits
Each Ozline Modular Timber Flooring Kit Assembled Dimensions Are: 1.52m L x 0.78m W x 86mm H
The Ozline modular timber flooring kits are made from 100% renewable plantation pine. They are ACQ treated to stop decay and termite and other insect attacks. They are safe to use and dispose of, as they are arsenic free.
Each flooring Kit produces a flat surface area of 1520mm x 780mm. By simply joining the assembled flooring kits together, you are able to cover just about any size or configuration needed for a shed, aviary or flat working space. The timber floor is also portable, making it ideal for temporary erection of garden sheds or moving around outdoor furniture. Ideal for renters.
Designed In Modular Sections – The Assembled Kits Can Be Joined Together, Where More Than One Module Is Required To Complete A Floor For Your Size Shed. The Floors Form A Sturdy Timber Base For Your Your Shed Or Aviary To Be Fixed Down To. The Ozline Timber Flooring Kits, require assembly.
The Kit Contains Pre-measured, Pre-cut & Pre-treated timber and Are Manufactured For Absco Sheds. The Kits Are Easy To Assemble (all screws & fixings provided) and Are Offered With A 10 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty.
►Safe ACQ (Arsenic Free) Treatment ► Rot Resistant ► Termite & Insect Resistant ► Fungal Resistant ► Portable ► Raises Shed Off The Ground Approx. 86mm.

The Number Of Kits Required Will Be Shown In The Options & Accessories Selection Area, When Completing Your Order.
Most garden sheds are engineered to a W41 / or N3 wind rating (ie. Up to 147klm/hr winds) when securely anchored to a concrete slab. In high wind or exposed areas, it is recommended that a concrete slab be used as a base.
Each Kit Contains:
Bearers – 2 @ 70 x 35 x 1520mm / 2 @ 70 x 35 x 710mm / 1 @ 70 x 35 x 1450mm Boards – 15 @ 100 x 15 x 780mm floor boards / Fixings – 12 @ Large Galvanised Screws 75mm & 90 @ Small Galvanised Screws 32mm
Cyclone Conversion Kits
Most Absco sheds are designed to a N2 wind rating. Where W50C (C1) wind ratings are required, an optional cyclone conversion kit may be fitted for the product to attain this wind rating. They upgrade the engineered integrity of the shed to withstand winds from the standard 147 klm/hr to 180 klm/hr.
These kits are made up of galvanised heavy duty internal metal frames & brackets, to provide additional bracing. They include all required bolt-down masonry anchors.
The Cyclone Conversion Kit Is Easy To Install, With Most Sections Pre-Cut To Size. The Absco Cyclone Conversion Kit Is Fitted After The Final And Standard Shed Assembly. Cyclone conversion kits are supplied in various size categories. Applicable options for this size shed Will Be Shown In The Options & Accessories Selection Area, When Completing Your Order.

The depots will only hold on to your delivered order for a few days (usually no more than 3-5 days), allowing you reasonable time for pick up. Failure to pick up your order within this period may result in storage and handling fees to be levied, as these depots are not storage facilities. Should these fees be charged by the freight carrier, this impost will be charged through to the customer.

Please note the following conditions for home deliveries, as offered by the manufacturer and their contracted freight carrier:

Additional labour and larger delivery trucks with crane attachments, are used to offload these large items, that are delivered as single pallet bundles. These additional freight servicing costs are reflected in a increased delivery fee levied on these items.
If there is any failure in meeting these agreed conditions, additional delivery and handling fees may be incurred. Charges from $90+gst may be levied by the freight carrier, if the coordinated delivery cannot be completed. Where applicable, this impost will be charged through to the customer.
I've Placed My Order - What Now?

For estimated dispatch time frames – please refer to the “Availability” notice in the “Specifications: Snapshot” tab of this product page. Note, this advice is an estimate only and is the best and most current notification as provided by the manufacturer. An allowance also needs to be made for the time required for the handling and delivery of the order. Delivery times vary based on the freight companies handling volumes, the ordered product size and delivery destination.
Once you order arrives at the closest freight distribution centre to your location, the freight carrier will call to either:
- Inform you of your orders availability for your pick up (if that is the option you have selected) or
- To co-ordinate with you the home delivery arrangements.
Receiving Your Order:
Whether you are picking your order up from the depot or are receiving your order at home, it is extremely important that attention is paid before you sign for and receive the goods. Signing for the goods denotes the customer has received all goods as ordered & that they are in a good and fit condition.
Even though great care is exercised by both the manufacturer and their freight carrier and agents, in some circumstances, the goods may either be damaged in transit, or be issued in error or incomplete.
The following steps should be followed to ensure you are receiving the complete product you have ordered:
√ Check the product/model no. on all box labels, to ensure it agrees with the item you have ordered (this information is noted on your web order confirmation and emailed tax receipt)
√ Check the box labels to verify that all the boxes that make up your model no. are presented. Box labels will show how many packs make up that model. For example – The box label will shown the Model No. & then state that the particular box is number __ from a total of __. If the label says that the box you are looking at is pack 1 of 2, then there should be a second pack. Please check that second box/pack to ensure it is the correct one for the ordered model, by checking the model number shown.
Note: Please keep all packaging materials until the product has been successfully assembled. This is to ensure that, if required, the manufacturer’s production labels/stickers are available for a legible photo to be taken & submitted to accompany any requests for the supply or re-supply of missing or damaged components. This is required by the manufacturer, under their quality assurance program, to enable them to action your pending request.
Damages & Shortages:
Within thirty (30) days of the receipt of the goods, you should inspect the product(s) in its entirety. The inspection is to satisfy that the product is in sound condition & is complete. You must notify discountsheds.com.au (the retailer) of any fault, damage or shortages of the goods and their component parts. We will then contact the manufacturer and lodge your claim request, along with our instruction for timely corrective measures, where required.
Do not attempt to assemble the product until you are in possession of all required components. This is ascertained by following the manufacturers’ written general instructions in the assembly manual. Carefully unpack the carton(s). Identify and check off the included parts and components against the parts illustrated and described in the manual. Partial and incomplete assembly (whilst waiting for the supply or re-supply of any reported missing or damaged parts) may result to damage to the structure, for which the retailer and the manufacturer are not responsible for.
Great care is employed by both the manufacturer and their freight carrier and agents, in supplying you with your quality product. Although it may be an exception to the general rule, errors in dispatching or damages incurred in the transportation of the product, may occur. To rectify and resolve this issue expeditiously, the shortage or nature of the damage should be reported in as much detail as possible. In order to initiate the supply or reissue of missing or damaged components, the manufacturer’s require the following in a written email, for their action –
- The email is to reference your Discountsheds.com.au Tax Invoice/Receipt Number (as emailed to you by Discountsheds.com.au upon processing of your online or phone order). Note this is different to the automatically generated web order ID. It allows us to identify your order & index it to the manufacturers reference number for your transaction.
- The email is to be forwarded to: sales@discountsheds.com.au
- The email is to list any and all, missing or damaged parts that require reissue or replacement (tabled in one item of correspondence). This information must be sourced & noted from the products assembly manual components list, as follows: Quantity, Part Description, & Part No.
If a claim is being made for parts that are damaged, the manufacturers require photos to be attached to your email, that clearly show the damage referred to. Please include adequate detail in the photos for the manufacturer to review the nature and extent of the damage. Photos from afar ( a few steps back showing damages to packaging or material), as well as close up detail, to show damage to parts – would be ideal.
For Absco products, the email is also to include photo(s) of the production information label both on the box and stamped on the internal parts (see example photos below). Please make sure this is done before packaging is destroyed / disposed of / or possibly perishes in the weather. These submissions are requested & required by the manufacturers. It is important for their quality assurance program and where applicable, their possible freight insurance claims.

Absco Wall Profile (Not to scale)
Assembly & Other Information
SNAPTITEThis Absco shed employs the unique & patented SNAPTITE panel assembly system.
In the assembly of most garden sheds, sections (such as walls & roof) are put together in panels before they are stood up, positioned & secured together. These panels are usually made up of a number of sheets which are joined together with screws, fixed in the pre-drilled holes. There are also structural top & bottom perimeter channels that are positioned across these panels.
This is where the Absco SNAPTITE system comes into its own. Where others require you to drill & screw or rivet the roof or wall sheets to these channels to complete the panel, SNAPTITE eliminates this time consuming step. Each of the Absco roof or wall sheets have a uniquely engineered, pre-pressed series of tabs that receive, clip & lock into the purpose formed top & bottom channels. This is done by using your hand to tap the channel to lock it in place. No tools or fasteners required for this step.
Introduction To SNAPTITE:
SNAPTITE: Reduces fixing points by 75% – Makes assembly up to 80% faster
5 Simple Steps To Assemble Refer to product assembly manual
- Check off all supplied parts to the components list in the product assembly manual. Only when complete, proceed to assemble
- Assemble the wall panel sections & roof panel sections
- Stand wall panels and fix together
- Fix roof panels to assembled walls
- Fix structure to suitable concrete slab or base
Concrete Slab / Base Minimum Requirements
The manufacturer recommends that a suitable concrete slab be provided to adequately fix to and secure the assembled structure. (Refer to the product assembly manual).
The selected site for your concrete slab should be provide drainage away from the shed to minimise moisture continually being drawn into the porous concrete, which may promote the formation of condensation inside the shed.
Concrete slabs are typically 100mm deep & provide a flat & level finished surface for the shed to sit on & be secured to. As a rule, minimum slab dimensions recommended are – the shed external footprint + 100 mm in each direction. This will give a 50mm border right around a centre-positioned shed. This 50mm concrete border should have a downwards chamfer (by at least 10mm), so as to allow any water run-off away from the shed walls.
Internal Step-Up Rebates for Concrete Slabs (Optional): Used to create a physical barrier that acts to assist in keeping out some of the weather that may otherwise find its way coming into the shed at the base, where the wall meets the slab. Here, the part of the slab inside of the shed, is raised (approx. 15-20mm) higher than the outside section of the slab where the wall sits.

Product Warranty
All products have been engineered and manufactured using quality endorsed materials that meet Australian standards. Designed for maximum strength and manufactured from low maintenance ribbed steel sheeting for added security.

Maintenance - Preventative & Other
Maintenance:
Just like all items, maintenance at regular intervals may be required to ensure your quality Absco product looks great year after year.
Washing down the steel sheeting on the roof & walls, assists in the removal of contaminating build up. Dust, grime, caustic bird & bat droppings, airborne salts, decaying leaf matter and other pollutants – may cause accelerated damage to the products finish.
It is recommended that a regular wash down with clean water & a non-abrasive cloth or similar – may assist.
How can I clean COLORBOND® steel?
For information on how to keep your COLORBOND® steel looking great, view our page Maintain COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME® steel. If you think you may have fungus growing on the surface, view the Identify and Remove Fungus page from the Bluescope steel “Colorbond” website – http://www.colorbond.com/How do I fix a scratch on Colorbond® Steel?
The recommendation is not to touch up. Minor scratching will not effect the life of the sheet and is rarely obvious to the casual observer. The use of aerosol touch-up sprays usually result in over spray & whilst not immediately obvious, the sprayed on colour may weather at a different rate to the colour and gloss retention qualities of the oven-dried paint on Colorbond® Steel. What sealants (silicone) can I use with COLORBOND® steel?
Neutral Cure silicone rubber sealants are the only sealants recommended for use with COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME® steel. Look for the words “Neutral Cure” on the sealant cartridge to make sure. Note: Please refer to the manufacturer’s product manual to ascertain if the use of sealants or other products are recommended or acceptable for use. Some manufacturer’s specifically advise that these products should not be used & may void any warranties.Selecting A Site To Place Your Shed:
Of course, positioning your shed or aviary in the most appropriate spot in your backyard, to start off with, ensures the best possible result for the hassle-free enjoyment & longevity of your purchase.
- Where possible, avoid positioning your shed under a deciduous tree, where falling leaves can accumulate on the roof & in any trim channels. These may trap decaying matter & moisture.
- Choose an area that is firm & level (in all directions). Ideally, the surrounding ground around the pad where the shed is to be placed, should allow for drainage away from the site.
Setting Up Your Shed:
- It is recommended that the shed be set on a suitable concrete slab and anchored down appropriately, per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- If your shed is secured to a concrete pad, it is important to understand that concrete is porous by nature. Any continued dampness in the soil may rise through the slab & into the shed, possibly causing condensation. A polythene sheet acting as a barrier, placed over the ground before you pour your concrete, will assist in minimising this. Applying a concrete sealer on the finished & fully cured slab, may also mitigate any moisture transfer inside the shed.
- Do not back fill against the walls or base of the shed. This may cause corrosion & void any manufacturers’ warranty.
- Do not allow fertilisers, pool salts etc. to come into contact with the metal parts & sheets. These may abnormally corrode these items & void the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Erecting a shed, in windy conditions is extremely difficult, dangerous & not advised.
